In an impressive showing, Awbrey Glen Golf Club’s Team #1 captured the title of Central Oregon Crew Tournament Champion at Quail Run Golf Course earlier last week. The team shot an outstanding 14-under-par gross score of 58 in the scramble format to claim the victory.

This win secures Awbrey Glen Golf Club’s place in the PNW Crew Tournament Championship. They will now join Heron Lakes Golf Course and Trysting Tree Golf Course to represent the OGCSA against top teams from the Western Washington GCSA (The Home Course and Gold Mountain Golf Club) and Inland Empire GCSA (Yakima Country Club Course and Leavenworth Golf Course). The PNW Championship is set for October 22 at The Home Course in DuPont, WA.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Once again, we lucked out with an absolutely perfect day avoiding wildfire smoke and the incoming rain. The Central Oregon Crew Tournament continues to grow in popularity, with another sold-out event and 30 courses from the chapter represented. A big thank you goes out to host Superintendent Jeremy Niederklein and his crew, who had Quail Run Golf Course in top condition. Your hospitality and attention to detail made the day a memorable one for everyone involved!
