Summary:
Under the supervision of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent is responsible for directing and managing the maintenance of Sunriver Resort’s Crosswater Golf Course to produce the highest quality playing conditions in the most efficient and economic manner. He/she will develop maintenance programs using modern equipment, techniques and fertilizers to maintain the highest quality, standards and image.

Essential Job Functions:
• Supervises the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of golf maintenance staff
• Maintains a professional image for self and crew in keeping with the high standards of a first class resort
• Responsible for overall condition of the golf courses to the standards established by the department and the corporation
• Assists with the development, training and inspiration of golf maintenance team

Job Requirements:
• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
• Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and meet company driving standards
• Must have or be willing to obtain prior to start date commercial pesticide applicator’s license
• Excellent equipment operation skills
• Must have strong irrigation background (i.e. installation, repair and maintenance, with experience in computerized central)
• Must have thorough understanding of the game of golf so as to understand the playability of the course
• Must always ensure a teamwork environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Experience and Education:
• 2-4 year Turf Management Certificate / Degree
• 2-3 years Golf Maintenance Experience

Compensation:
$56,000 – $61,000 annual. Full time year around. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k and PTO.
