Call for OGCSA Board of Directors Candidates

Are you a Class A, B, or Affiliate member in good standing and interested in giving back to the OGCSA? This is your opportunity to become more involved with the association by serving on the Board of Directors. We are seeking some of our amazing members to run for open board positions.

Positions Up for Election:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary/Treasurer
  • Superintendent Directors: Four (2-year terms)
  • Affiliate Director: One (2-year term)

Current 2025 Nominations:

  • President: Current Vice President – Stephen Purdy, Willamette Valley Country Club
  • Vice President: Current Secretary/Treasurer – Josh Loy, Stewart Meadows Golf Course
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Current Superintendent Director – Steven Beyer, Illahe Hills Country Club

How to Nominate Yourself

If you are interested in serving on the Board, please review the duties of a board member and contact a current board member or Alexis at ogcsa@ogcsa.org or 503-344-6535 by March 31, 2025.

Electronic Ballots

Electronic ballots—including the slate of candidates—will be emailed in April to all eligible voting members.

Members may request a paper ballot instead of an electronic ballot. To do so, please submit your request in writing to ogcsa@ogcsa.org by March 31, 2025.

Election results and newly elected directors will be announced at the OGCSA Annual Meeting on May 22, 2025, at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon.

Duties of a Board Member:

  • Commit to the Bylaws and Standard Operating Procedures of OGCSA
  • Participate in committees
  • Attend Board meetings (approximately 5–6 per year, in person or via conference call)
  • Attend the Annual Meeting in May
  • Attend a majority of association golf outings and educational events throughout the year
  • Stay engaged by reading and responding to OGCSA-related emails
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability
  • Approve the annual budget
