Four OGCSA Members Recognized as 2016 Environmental Leaders
Each year the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) presents Environmental Leadership in Golf Awards which recognizes golf course superintendents and their courses for overall course management excellence and best management practices in the areas of water conservation, water quality management, energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste management, wildlife and habitat conservation, communication and outreach, and leadership.
We are excited and proud to announce that out of the 31 award recipients for 2016 ~ 4 are superintendent members of the Oregon Chapter GCSA. Please take a moment and congratulate these gentlemen in this great achievement.

Ken Nice, The Director of Agronomy at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon Oregon was one of three National Honorees taking home the National award for resort courses.
Kurt Noonan, Certified Golf Course Superintendent at Juniper Golf Course in Redmond Oregon was one of 19 Chapter award winner.
Alan Nielsen, Certified Golf Course Superintendent at Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver Washington and Gary Heath, Golf Course Superintendent at Glendoveer Golf & Tennis in Portland Oregon are among the 9 Merit award winners.
Winners will be recognized Tuesday, Feb. 7, during the Opening Session at the 2017 Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Fla. Winners will also be featured in upcoming issues of Golf Digest and GCSAA’s official monthly publication, Golf Course Management magazine.
