Kitsap Golf and Country club is a private country club in Bremerton, Washington. The club was established in 1924 and has over 250 active members. We are looking for a career-oriented individual who has an eye for detail and can think outside of the box to become our next assistant superintendent. This is a management position that will report to the Golf Course Superintendent.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the golf course superintendent and contribute to the overall success of the grounds operations.
Create work schedules for daily operations.
Ensure daily setup is accomplished correctly and correct any deficiencies.
Supervise and direct department greenskeepers, spray and irrigation technicians.
Maintain and repair irrigation systems. Hand watering turf.
Record daily records that pertain to weather, chemical & fertilizer applications, purchase invoices, tasks completed during the day, etc..
Chemical and fertilizer application.
Lead the crew for assigned projects.
Train employees on tasks and equipment. Responsible for leading safety meetings and ensuring employees are using PPE.
Attend greens committee meetings.
Work with other departments.
Project Management
Work tournaments
Assume responsibility of the golf course in the absence of the golf course superintendent.
Other duties assigned by the superintendent.

Requirements:
Degree in Turfgrass management or a related field of studies.
Ability to obtain a Washington pesticide license.
3 years or more of experience on a golf course or a related field of work.

Compensation:
$69,400/year
Health after 3 months (75%/25%)
Dental and Vision after 2 months (100% Employee Paid)
Vacation after 1 year; (40 hrs initially, increases to 120 after 5 yrs)
Simple 401k plan with up to 3% match available

Dues paid for the GCSAA, WWGCSA and continuing education expenses
